This week has been interesting! Matt went back to school Tuesday to his new class of 28 8 year olds. He thinks they will be a pretty good group, so hopefully that is a good sign!
I was called in for jury duty Wednesday and just my luck, was randomly selected to be on a jury for a trial on Thursday. It was for an assault and battery. It was all very surreal. I felt more like I was watching a tv show than actually serving a purpose, until of course we had to deliberate and decide a jurisdiction for the two defendants. Interesting how our court system works...there were 6 of us on the jury making a decision for these people, and we felt like we didn't have hard facts. We think just about all the witnesses were lying about something, we had to choose what to believe. Crazy!
Anyway, just an interesting experience to have. On a lighter note, took some pictures of our crazy cats this week to share!

Go Tigers!
We finally made it to a Tigers game in Comerica park Friday night! What a blast. We arrived in Detroit around 5pm and ate at Hockeytown Cafe then made our way over to the park for a 7 oclock game. Tigers won 8 to 1 against the White Sox! Also afterward they had fireworks-the best firework display I have ever seen. In Matt's head he has already planned our next Tigers outing...
The entrance to the park
Verlander warming up before the game!!!
the Jumbotron (which was right behind us)
The view from our seats-we were in the way outfield, but you could still see the plays being made. Look up Austin Jackson's home run in the 5th inning...the ball went right in front of our stands! (we were 6 rows back) Anyone see us on TV?
Saturday night after Brewsters-cuddle time with Micah and Kramer! Kramer crawled on top of Micah all by himself :)

She is a he
Took "Macy" to the vet this morning. Turns out she is a he! His new name is Kramer. He checked out great-vet thinks he may even be a purebred Siamese! He weighed in at 3.2 pounds, and he doesn't even think he is malnourished. He estimates his age at about 15 weeks. He was negative for feline leukemia. Just a had a few fleas, which is to be expected when you find a cat in the woods. Which is fine, we are already treating Bufous for fleas anyway.

New Family Members!
Well, if you hadn't hear yet, you may be behind...we are expecting again! Estimated due date of April 22nd as of now, we will know more when we go to the first appointment, which is Sept 20th. We bought Micah this t-shirt to tell our families...some were not as quick to pick up on the hint, which was comical :)
Random side note picture-my dad picked this cake out for me for my birthday-he knows what I like!!
We just got back from the cabin this weekend. Sadly I didn't take many pics, but this was too cute-Matt and Micah snuggling Saturday night at bedtime!
We found a new family member at the cabin. Well, the dogs did really, and she ran up a tree. Thanks to Alex and Melissa rescuing her, we have a new kitten!
She is perfect Micah size. In fact he wants to pick her up and carry her around the house!
We named her Macy. We think she is at least part siamese. we take her to the vet in the morning. More to come!

Micah's first trip to the zoo!
So this weekend we were actually planning on going to Brohman to the cabin, but the weather forecast looked unsure-scattered t-storms and hot weather. We decided to hang out at home, have a stay-cation, but do some local things. Last minute we decided to go to South Bend to the Potawatami Zoo with Aunt Jess and Uncle Myke!

Manistee Family Vacation-part 1
July 2-9th we went with my family (Mom and Dad, Jess and Myke, Jenn, Josh, and Gabe) to a rental house on Lake Michigan in Manistee. We had a blast! These are only a few of the pics we took!
Packing to leave
Sunday there was a festival going on in downtown Manistee. They had a petting zoo, carnival rides, and a flea market. Micah got up close and personal with the goats!
