Christmas has come and gone

I'm so behind on updating! It seems time has flown by. We have kept very busy with several Christmas get togethers. Unfortunately, me being the bad mom that I am, took didn't take any pictures at Christmas...we did get some video. Here are some pics from the past few weeks!
Micah enjoys his Cheerios, and sticks his hand in his snack trap any chance he gets! He has no idea acutally how to get them out, he just likes to play in it.
Walking along the tv cabinet-naked!

Getting a crazy piggy back ride with Daddy

For the first time tried a teething biscuit. I think he is a little young yet for them, but he seemed to enjoy it!

We cat sat for Alex and Melissa's baby-Birdie. The two crazy cats were very entertaining to watch. Here they are taking a much needed break by the fireplace.

Just chilling with a bottle by the fireplace!

Caught red handed sneaking into my purse!

About to be destructive-he likes to throw everything that is on the coffee table to the floor.

Bath time fun-he wore his bucket as a hat.

It is Christmas break!

Well, Friday marked the start of Matt's break from school. Its only been a couple of days, but I think everyone in our house is enjoying it! We have watched a few movies and layed around and relaxed, and getting everything together for Chrismas. We both have a list of things we would like to accomplish in the next few weeks. It is nice to have Matt home so I don't have to cart Micah around with me every where!
Nap time. He was in his crib and woke up crying, but apparently was not finished sleeping!

Matt received a bell from one of his students this year as a gift. Micah is getting good use out of it!

This past weekend

Busy weekend! Saturday night was our Sunday school Christmas party. We ate dinner at Schu's then headed to Aunt Jan and Uncle Norm's for desserts and games. It was a lot of fun, especially because I had a sugar high from all the yummy goodies, some which included puppy chow, raspberry cheesecake, buckeyes, and coconut macaroons! Grandma Helga watched Micah and they seemed to have a good time. He has been a little difficult since Thursday night when he came down with a cold.
Sunday was the Maier family Christmas. It was a really good meal, then presents and relaxing in the living room with some Christmas and past year reflections.
Monday was a great surprise when Matt had a snow day. It was awesome to have him home for the day. He was able to get some things done, hang out with us, and relax. Also my BSF was cancelled in the eve, so we had even more time together. Here are some pics from the week!
Micah's new fascination-the spatula. I used this to deter him from the toilet bowl wand in the bathroom-yuck.
He has a need to push buttons

All smiles

Relaxing with Aunt Rebecca

Monday-Snow Day! It took a lot to get Daddy out of bed, but we did it!
See, even Bufous on the end of the bed was so relaxed!

Daddy and Micah relaxing

Matt made a fire in the wood burning stove-Micah was enthralled

Mesmorized by the fire!

Winter is here

Uggg, as much as this snow is beautiful, I hate driving in it! Aslo freaked out because on our way home this afternoon from some Christmas shopping, there was a car that drove off into the woods/ravine there where Glenlord ends at Niles (so close to our house). How scary! Anyway, it at least gets me in the Christmas spirit to see snow on the bare trees, and all the radio stations playing Christmas music! December, winter, and the Christmas season are here!

His favorite spot right now-getting into the cabinets of the china hutch!
Naked baby before his bath tonight!

Helping daddy play guitar over the weekend

Just doing my chores!

Hanging out with daddy

Saturday after Thanksgiving, putting up the tree

How precious is this???
We can't wait for Micah's first Christmas! What an amazing thing to teach children the true meaning of Christmas!
