Micah's first night away

Friday night my sister and brother-in-law (Jess and Myke) volunteered to take Micah-all night! It was his first night away from me in his whole 10 months of life. From the report, it sounded like everything went great. At home, Matt and I had a great time-we spent some time with the youth from our church, then we went to see a movie just the two of us (which we dont get to do very often!) And I slept until 9 on Saturday-also something I probably haven't done in the past 10 months! Then I was able to work out, shower, shop and Old Navy and go grocery shopping-all with out the kid. It was great, I could barely remember what that was like! Thank you Aunt Jess and Uncle Myke!
We went to South Bend Saturday to pick him up and we went for a late lunch at Red Robin, did some shopping at Sams Club and stopped for milkshakes at Sonic. Then Matt went and looked at a motorcycle...I really think this is going to happen now. I have no choice as he saved up all his personal money for months and months to get one!

Pooped after too much fun in South Bend!

At home today-he wanted to pick out a wine to have!

Then proceeded to raid the fridge

Micah's first real meal (aka, the first time I let him eat off the plate by himself)-baked ziti

This says it all!
As you can see we have our hands full with this one :)

The last few weeks

Micah was helping me put away laundry

Trying to grab a hold on running water

Well it has been awhile since a post! We got really busy, and then our computer wasn't reading our camera card...but anyway, a lot to catch up on. We have been busy as Matt is teaching, continues his masters classes, and is now in the season of coaching 4th grade basketball. He has practices after school on Tuesdays and Fridays, and they have games on Saturday mornings. I just finished my second week of teaching clinicals for LMC, which is going well but time consuming after clinicals as I grade work and have to do weekly evaluations on each student.
We went out of town this weekend to Ann Arbor for our nephew Gabe's dedication. We stayed in a hotel Saturday night with Myke and Jess and had a great time (Micah enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool the best and staying up late playing cards!)

Woke up from his nap without pants...weird!

Look Mom and Dad! I unrolled a lot of toilet paper!

Playing in his tupperward cupboard

At the hotel in AA-playing with the Micah in the mirror-he even gave him a kiss!

Gabe and Aunt Jessica at the Calhoun household in Saline

Cousin Gabe has much cooler toys than I do

Gabe also has this sweet jumparoo

At the hotel-he has decided to learn from Papa John and become a plumber!

At home finally! Happy to sit in Daddy's work basket

Happy new year

Yep, posting about the new year on January 10th! Well, it would have been last night, but the video was taking forever to upload. Still having issues today with the video, so I will try to get it up as soon as I can!
We rang in the new year at our friend Anna's house with some friends. We were playing games and turned on the tv just as the countdown for the dropping ball was at 6...good timing! Josh, Jenn and Gabe were in town on the first, and we had yet another Calhoun Christmas. It was fun to see the boys interact again.
Matt went back to school after break on Jan 3rd...we enjoyed having him home way too much. I took advantage of Daddy while he was home and was able to get out of the house without Micah several times to get things done or hang out with friends. Matt really missed Micah that first week back.
Things are starting back up for me as well. I think we were off from BSF for at least 4 weeks, so tonight is my first time back in awhile. Also tomorrow I start teaching clinical rotations for LMC first year nursing students. A little nervous still, but hopefully all will go well.
Bufous enjoying the snow. He was the one who wanted to go out.

Proud of all the work he accomplished

Didn't like it very much

Was ok only when on Daddy's shoulders
