Christmas has come and gone
I'm so behind on updating! It seems time has flown by. We have kept very busy with several Christmas get togethers. Unfortunately, me being the bad mom that I am, took didn't take any pictures at Christmas...we did get some video. Here are some pics from the past few weeks!
Micah enjoys his Cheerios, and sticks his hand in his snack trap any chance he gets! He has no idea acutally how to get them out, he just likes to play in it.

It is Christmas break!
Well, Friday marked the start of Matt's break from school. Its only been a couple of days, but I think everyone in our house is enjoying it! We have watched a few movies and layed around and relaxed, and getting everything together for Chrismas. We both have a list of things we would like to accomplish in the next few weeks. It is nice to have Matt home so I don't have to cart Micah around with me every where!
Matt received a bell from one of his students this year as a gift. Micah is getting good use out of it!

This past weekend
Busy weekend! Saturday night was our Sunday school Christmas party. We ate dinner at Schu's then headed to Aunt Jan and Uncle Norm's for desserts and games. It was a lot of fun, especially because I had a sugar high from all the yummy goodies, some which included puppy chow, raspberry cheesecake, buckeyes, and coconut macaroons! Grandma Helga watched Micah and they seemed to have a good time. He has been a little difficult since Thursday night when he came down with a cold.
Sunday was the Maier family Christmas. It was a really good meal, then presents and relaxing in the living room with some Christmas and past year reflections.
Monday was a great surprise when Matt had a snow day. It was awesome to have him home for the day. He was able to get some things done, hang out with us, and relax. Also my BSF was cancelled in the eve, so we had even more time together. Here are some pics from the week!

Winter is here
Uggg, as much as this snow is beautiful, I hate driving in it! Aslo freaked out because on our way home this afternoon from some Christmas shopping, there was a car that drove off into the woods/ravine there where Glenlord ends at Niles (so close to our house). How scary! Anyway, it at least gets me in the Christmas spirit to see snow on the bare trees, and all the radio stations playing Christmas music! December, winter, and the Christmas season are here!

Thanksgiving Weekend
What a busy week/weekend! I had my normal work week (7-3 on Wednesday and 7am-7pm on Thursday), so I missed the Zielke Thanksgiving on Thursday. Micah and Matt went over and it sounds like it was a good time! Wish I could have been there.
We did Calhoun Thanksgiving on Friday. I'm glad I still was able to have at least the one Thanksgiving, but still jealous Micah and Matt had two days to devour good food! Cousin Gabe and Micah had a good time playing with each other. Gabe shared his play gym with Micah, and in turn, Micah stole toys from Gabe. They seemed to like interacting with one another!
Bear with me on the pictures-I forget the pictures upload in backwards order. I need to learn to select them backwards so I can get a correct chronological order!

Child Dedication
Yesterday (Sunday) we had child dedication at our church. Micah and Finley were dedicated together (keeping the tradition of cousins being dedicated together-Teague and Addison were dedicated together around Christmas last year). After church, the family came over to our house for lunch (we had over 20 people here!) Thanks everyone who came and celebrated with us, and especially those who brought the yummy food!

Seven months old
Micah is 7 months old today! Hard to believe. Just a few pics to commemorate the milestone.

Halloween
Busy Halloween day! Church, then a b-day lunch for my dad, quick nap for Micah, then it was off to Drew and Rebecca's to do some trick or treating. The kids got all dressed up, and Micah even got candy, but everyone knows Mom and Dad will be eating it. Then Oma had the grandkids/great-grandkids over for apple fritters and hot cider. Yum!

Our little monster
Micah is a monster for Halloween this year. Or a dinasour, or others that I've heard this week-alligator, frog, or caterpillar (seriously?). He is getting his use out of this outfit. He wore it to our church's Fall Family Fun Fair this past Wednesday, and we went to Daddy's school to visit Friday and he wore his costume then (the school doesn't allow students to wear costumes, so I thought someone should be able to!) His students loved him, they really got a kick out of him. Also the teachers he works with were all over him! What can I say, he is the cutest monster I've ever seen!
He will also be wearing his costume later today when we have some friends over. Probably wear it again tomorrow night, too, when we go out trick or treating with cousin Teague! Best $15 purchase ever!
